Maria Hosford¹

Maria may not be the mother of the first 3 of Peter's children. The name is found only on the death record for Maria Houghtaling in Port Byron. It looks like a surname of Hosford, but there is an Isaac Vosburgh living 5 houses from Peter in the Kingston 1810 census. This Isaac died in 1813 and his will lists daughter, Maria. If this is the same person, she did not marry Peter until after her father's will was written. Maria Hosford married Peter Houghtaling, son of John Houghtaling and Anna Margaret Roosa, circa 1813.
