The remains of Edgar W. Gilbert, formerly of this city, who died at his home in Rochester last Thursday, were brought here yesterday and interment was made in Fort Hill. Rev. H. N. Geistweit of the First Baptist Church officiated. The bearers were Day Gilbert, Fred Gilbert, John Leary of Rochester, and Arthur G. Gilbert ot Auburn.
The. deceased was 84 years of age and will be remembered by many of the older residents in this city. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Fred Krodell, Mrs. John Leary and Miss Mable Gilbert, two sons. Day and Fred Gilbert; and several
grandchildren, all-of Rochester. Arthur G. Gilbert is a nephew of Mr.Gilbert.
